Dust Orb
It is often theorized that orbs
appearing in photographs may
represent the presence of a
spirit. It is our opinion that in
almost all cases, these orbs
are caused by environmental
issues such as dust or
moisture in the air reflecting
the flash.

Vortex:
Dust Orb
Streaks of light and blurs of
color captured on film are
often mistaken for a
paranormal energy vortex.
These anomalies are usually
either caused by quick-moving
objects (such as insects)
reflecting the camera flash or
by an object (such as a stray
hair or camera strap) dangling
too close to the lens.
Camera Strap Phantom
Smoky anomaly to the left is
caused by the camera strap
sneaking in front of the lens.
I.R. Thermometer laser sight gone wild!
This squiggly red line was
most likely caused by our own
non-contact digital
thermometer laser sight.
Ribbon of spirit energy...or maybe just a string.
A string (or stray hair) too
close to the lens will reflect the
flash brightly enough to
appear almost like a ribbon of
energy.
Always be aware of tricky
lights and shadows around
windows and mirrors. Often
these will appear 'paranormal'
in nature.
This 'Class A' EVP is actually
the sound of a steel door
slamming on another floor of
the building - pay attention to
unusual acoustic properties of
each location.
This apparent EVP saying 'Please
Don't Go' was both clear and timely
and responsive - but the voice
heard was actually an investigator
downstairs. Walls and distance can
distort voices and sounds - making
redundant recorders vital.
